How much does it cost to open a business in Rwanda?
It costs no coin to register company/ business in Rwanda. The whole process of business registration is free of charge at Rwanda development Board (RDB).
However, if one hires services of an agent / lawyer he/ she is expected to pay over 500,000 frw ($500) for online application and follow up of the file.
More so, lawyer will provide you with post registration services such as drafting of board resolutions, opening of the bank account and even drafting/ reviewing of employment contract…
Also, lawyer will advise to comply with Tax regimes in Rwanda as established by Rwanda Revenue Authority and insurance for your employees from RSSB
6.Requirements for registration of foreign company in Rwanda
- One must have power of attorney if he /she is representative for the foreign company in Rwanda
- Valid/ authentic copy of the memorandum Articles of Association.
- Certificate of Registration/Incorporation issued by the registration authority in the country of registration.
- Board resolution from the authorized agency authorizing to open a branch.
- Passport copies of the shareholders/directors.
- List of directors residing in Rwanda (atleast One)
