HOW TO GET WORK PERMIT IN RWANDA

Getting work permit in Rwanda helps foreigners to carry out their services easily however Citizens of East African community don’t pay for Work permit

Employer refers to a person or organization that employs people.

Also, employee refers to a person employed for wages or salary, especially at non-executive level.

work permit is a legal document permitting a foreign national to engage in employment while inside of Rwanda.

Applicants applying for residence permit for the first time, grace period is 15 days upon arrival in the country.

More so, after that period, penalties will be applied, immediately as stipulated by the law.

Permit issued to a foreign worker sponsored by his/her employer and who possesses required qualifications or relevant experience.

An applicant has an option of applying for work permit via online by using irembo services which is which easier and time consuming.

Employees should apply for work permits upon reaching Rwanda or to do it before they enter Rwanda. Employees also can apply for work permit through the Rwandan embassy in a country where one resides or comes from.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPLICATION OF WORK PERMIT IN RWANDA

Employees for a work permit in Rwanda must fulfill the following requirements:

c. The copy of employment contract.

a. Certified academic Certificates.

b.The original police clearance from the country of the previous residence of six months.

d. Recommendation letter from employer

e.Detailed Curriculum Vitae.

b. Employee has to present a recommendation letter from employer.

COST OF WORK PERMIT  IN RWANDA 

Application fee for work permit is only 150,000 Frw ( 150 USD)

VALIDITY OF WORKPERMIT IN RWANDA 

A work permit is only valid for 2 years only.

Sometimes drafting and putting the above documents required for the application of work permit may not be easy.
